Spence and Grant, about the company

In 1978, the company of Spence and Grant was formed when two local boys started up their own business and within five years became a limited company. The company is still based at the original site, but now there is a substantial workshop premises and a luxurious office block to welcome you and discuss your requirements.

Spence and Grant is a friendly, versatile business and will under take any kind of work involved with the building trade, large or small, commercial or private. From stripping down a door and fitting locks, to loft conversion extensions and complete house build packages. Whatever the contract we take equal care and pride to ensure that you are satisfied. Spence and Grant Ltd means reliable service and has grown over the last 25 years to employ a work staff of over 16 people, all of them trained that the customer is always right.

Urquhart

We have for the past 15 years been developing our own houses at various sites, one of which is the prestigious 'Beils Brae' Development at Urquhart, by Lhanbryde. This development was the turning point in our house building and our first big development with quality affordable housing, but spacious and luxurious at the same time.

Our various other developments are spread throughout the local area, including our newly completed Station Road Development at Garmouth, by Fochabers and our ongoing prestigious development in the Buckie area.

Friendly staff

Our first point of contact is our P.A., Lesley, who will be only too happy to guide you to the relevant person for your enquiry. All our staff are here to make your purchase, however large or small, as hassle-free as possible. They will also give advice and ideas that we feel will help you achieve your specific goals.

Mr. G Morrison (Graeme) and Mrs. S Morrison (Shona) are all working directors of the company and they strive to ensure that the customer comes first at all times.

Graeme, a family man local to the area, has been with the company for around 21 years as a Foreman joiner, and a great asset in looking after the company's interest on various sites in the area. In August 2002 he bought Spence &Grant Ltd from Mr Grant and Mr Spence and continues to run the company with the help of his wife, Shona. He has two children, one of whom is a joiner with the firm.

Graeme is now carry out all duties and running of the company, utilising his knowledge of all sectors of the business and carrying on the tradition of service and care to all our existing and future customers.
